WR121: Research Writing

Research: A Definition

We all do research every day. Simply put, research is finding answers to questions. The purpose of this guide is to help you craft good questions and guide you to appropriate answers. A good writer can recognize different genres and knows how to select appropriate genres to navigate different rhetorical situations. Likewise, a good researcher can recognize and evaluate different information sources and knows how to select appropriate answers to their questions.
