Emerson College provides free admission and discounts for students, staff, and faculty to Boston museums.

Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), 25 Harbor Shore Drive

The ICA partners with universities to become a member which allows for FREE admission to the museum with a valid Emerson College ID for all students, staff, and faculty. To book tickets in advance you will need the Emerson College promo code on this page (scroll down to the Participating Institutions section): As of June 1, 2022, vaccinations and negative Covid tests are no longer required for audience at seated theater events. Vaccination is also not required to visit the galleries.

Museum of Fine Arts Boston (MFA), 465 Huntington Avenue

The MFA provides access to students, faculty, and staff with an Emerson ID. Due to COVID-19, the MFA is accessible through timed tickets only.

Beginning July 1, 2021 student/faculty/staff discounts will only be available on site and in person at the Museum. Emerson ID holders get free general admission and discounted entrance to special exhibits. Click the link to schedule a visit and see important information on the museum's opening hours and how to reserve a ticket. General admission tickets are no longer timed-entry, but special ticketed exhibitions require a timed-entry ticket. Effective Saturday, February 19, 2022, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required for entry into the Museum.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, 25 Evans Way

The Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum passes can be booked online. Use the discount code EMERSON to waive your ticket fee for current students only. You must bring your Emerson College ID when visiting to redeem your free admission ticket. Visit for more information on member benefits. Effective Saturday, March 5, 2022, the vaccine requirement and mask mandate for general admission has been lifted. The Gardner requires proof of vaccination status upon entry to programs and concerts in Calderwood and face masks must be worn by all attendees while they are in Calderwood Hall.
