Registration

• Verify your registration: https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/ and update your mailing address, if needed.
• Register to Vote: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voter-registration/

Requesting a Ballot

• California is a VOTE BY MAIL state. When you register, you will put your temporary address in the field for the address where you receive mail.  NOTE:  Every time you move, if you want your mail sent to a new address, you need to update your mailing address: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voter-registration/
• If you are already registered and want to change your address by phone, call 916-653-6814.

Voting

• By mail: Ballots must be postmarked by Election day and received no later than three days after the election
• By hand: Ballot must be received by Election Day at your County Election Officials office or in their designated drop-off location: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voting-resources/county-elections-offices/
• If you are a first time voter, you will have to include your official California ID number (Driver's license or non-driver's ID) or the last 4 digits of your social security number.

If you are currently studying at ELA, you can use your campus address as your voter registration address OR vote in your home state.
