Health Support and Resources

Fenway Health
Fenway Health advocates for and delivers innovative, equitable, accessible health care, supportive services, and transformative research and education. We center LGBTQIA+ people, BIPOC individuals, and other underserved communities to enable our local, national, and global neighbors to flourish. In 2001, the organization launched The Fenway Insitutute, a national interdisciplinary center dedicated to ensuring cultural competence in health care for the GLBT community through research and evaluation, training and education, and policy and advocacy.
Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of people worldwide. They provide hormone therapy for transgender patients under the informed-consent model.

Intercultural Student Affairs page which provides resources for LGBTQIA+ students. The page also provides resources for the Emerson community, including a glossary of terms, helpful links, and information about affirming gender identity.
Emerson's Advancement Group for Love and Expression
Emerson’s Advancement Group for Love and Expression (EAGLE) was established to promote visibility and acceptance of LGBT+ culture throughout the campus and community.
Spectrum
Spectrum is dedicated to creating and keeping a space for students of color who are part of the LGBT+ community.
Theyta
Theyta is a genderqueer volunteer, social, and professional organization, dedicated to providing a safe space for non-binary and gender non-conforming students on campus.

Boston Based Organizations

BAGLY: The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth
BAGLY is a youth-led, adult-supported social support organization, committed to social justice and creating, sustaining, and advocating for programs, policies, and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community. BAGLY provides community-based leadership development, health promotion, and social support programs for Massachusetts LGBTQ youth communities, and is a leader in local and national LGBTQ+ youth advocacy and workforce development.
Bisexual Resource Center
Based in Boston, the Bisexual Resource Center works to connect the bi+ community and help its members thrive through resources, support, and celebration. We envision an empowered, visible, and inclusive global community for bi+ people.
Boston Pride for the People
Boston Pride for the People is responsible for the return of the Boston Pride Parade. Their mission is to empower, celebrate and commemorate the LGBTQ+ community and to promote education about issues impacting the LGBTQ+ community. Boston Pride For The People’s volunteer board and working committee were formed by community organizers and community members
MassEquality
MassEquality is the leading statewide grassroots advocacy organization working to ensure that everyone across Massachusetts can thrive from cradle to grave without discrimination and oppression based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
Mass Transgender Political Coalition
MTPC works to ensure the wellbeing, safety and lived equity of all trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive community members in Massachusetts. They educate the public; advocate at state, local, and systemic levels; and through collective action, we mobilize community, engage in capacity building, and advance community wellness and prosperity.
SpeakOUT Boston
SpeakOUT is a community of speakers working to create a world free of homo-bi-transphobia and other forms of prejudice by telling the truths of our lives. Since 1972, SpeakOUT Boston has conducted peer-led training programs to prepare LGBTQIA* community members to effectively tell their personal stories to create positive social change.
Trans Resistance MA
Trans Resistance was formed in June 2020 by Athena Vaughn, Chastity Bowick, and a collective of trans and queer activists in the Boston area who built upon years of contention with the Boston Pride board for being trans-exclusionary in their process, vision, and work and failing to equitably represent the magical TQBIPOC community in Boston.

LA Organizations

Los Angeles LGBT Center
Since 1969 the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond. The Los Angeles LGBT Center is building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society.
Gay For Good
Initially founded in LA, and now in 19 other cities, Gay For Good mobilizes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally volunteers to promote diversity, foster inclusion and strengthen ties to the broader community
Still Bisexual
Still Bisexual is a national bi+ advocacy organization that uses storytelling, education and mental health advocacy to help foster public acceptance, awareness and understanding of bisexual, pansexual, fluid, and queer identities.
The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles
The GMCLA seeks to create musical experiences that strengthen our role as a leader among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and performing arts organizations, enrich our member-artists, support LGBT youth, challenge homophobia, and expose new communities to our message of equality.
Trans Lounge
Trans* Lounge was founded in June of 2015 and is a program within the Cultural Arts & Education Department at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Trans* Lounge is a first of it’s kind Education & Empowerment program that offers FREE groups, classes & events for the the TGI/ENBY+ (Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, Intersex, and Non-Binary) and all members of the gender expansive community.
