The Library of Things includes sensory friendly materials designed to help you fidget, focus, and stay grounded. They may be checked out at the library Service Desk for 2 hours at a time, and must be kept inside the library.
Those in need of a more comprehensive sensory friendly space are also invited to make use of the Sensory Friendly Study Room located in Iwasaki Library (Walker Building, Room 336, to the right of the Service Desk). The sensory friendly room was built in response to ACCESS Student Disability Union’s 2021 Advocacy Project, and includes features like dimmable lights, a white noise machine, and a light therapy lamp, as well as being the new home for the library's Adaptive Technology Workstation. This space is available on a drop-in basis and cannot be booked in advance.
