Jewish American Heritage Month

The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, presents educational programs and experiences that preserve, explore, and celebrate the history of Jews in America. Its purpose is to connect Jews more closely to their heritage and to inspire in people of all backgrounds a greater appreciation for the diversity of the American Jewish experience and the freedoms to which Americans aspire.

From Haven to Home is a Library of Congress exhibition marking 350 years of Jewish life in America. The exhibition features more than two hundred treasures of American Judaica from the collections of the Library of Congress, augmented by a selection of important loans from other cooperating cultural institutions. While the physical exhibition is closed, the Library Of Congress digital exhibit includes, timelines, programs, and more!

AJHS is the oldest ethnic, cultural archive in the United States. Established in 1892, the American Jewish History Society provides access to more than 30 million documents and 50,000 books, photographs, art and artifacts that reflect the history of the Jewish presence in the United States from 1654 to the present.

AJC New England connects our community with American Jewish Committee’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Our access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader priorities: combating antisemitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism.

Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) is a Greater Boston organization that seeks to establish a community that is rooted in compassion and justice, that cares for the vulnerable, that engages deeply with Israel, and that embraces Jewish life and learning--all with a focus on engaging the community in vibrant Jewish life, both now and in the future. CPJ is a partner of the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.
