B.S. in Communication Disorders
Students will:
- Demonstrate basic clinical and research writing skills.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the scientific bases of communication and its disorders.
- Apply scientific and theoretical knowledge to clinical processes.
- Engage actively with peers and faculty to attain meaningful outcomes.
- Practice critical thinking and rational inquiry in the study of communication disorders.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the range of human diversity and its relationship to communication disorders.
B.A. in Health & Social Change
Students will:
- Identify and apply principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion across health and communication contexts.
- Explain principles and theories related to health as an individual, cultural, social, and environmental construct.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge in the biological, physical, and/or health sciences, including the scientific method.
- Critique how the arts and media influence and impact health and social issues.
- Examine the U.S. and international healthcare and public health systems and how policy shapes each.
- Interpret and synthesize health data and research.
- Describe and analyze health problems.
